The Story Behind Reddy

My dad loved birds, and after he passed away, I began noticing cardinals more often. Maybe they had always been there, and I simply had not paid attention. But something changed.
I have found that when life feels especially busy, when I am carrying the weight of a difficult decision, or when my heart is a little heavy, a cardinal often appears.
Sometimes it is perched outside my window. Sometimes it is in a tree just as I am walking by. Each time, it reminds me to slow down, smile, and remember the values my dad taught me.
