Prepping Your Home to Sell

One of the most important things to do to get your home ready for sale is to prepare it for today’s market and today’s buyers.   

 There are very noticeable things that make your home stand out.

• Updated and remodeled Baths, countertops, shower enclosures, tubs and hardware

Consistent paint scheme

• Negative - When colors change from room to room and do not flow, it makes the home feel unfinished, not well cared for.
• Positive - Using soft whites, modern colors thru-out will create continuity room to room and photograph very well and appealing.

Lighting Temperature

• Negative - Different temperatures of lighting in different fixtures will make home feel disjointed. Mismatched and missing lights in Chandeliers and ceiling fans does not promote home is well cared for.
• Positive - Match lighting temperatures with soft white, natural daylight colors. Avoid warm whites ( especially in baths with white counters ) which tends to yellow walls and countertops.

Landscaping  The first impression buyers have is the Landscaping

• Negative – Brown grass, Barren dirt, Dead Plants, Overgrown Shrubs and Trees Blocking home, No Color
• Well kept grass and Flower Beds show care and pride in the home and show buyers home to be well cared for.
• Plan ahead to plant so they mature and fill out the beds
